The last week of the Devil's lake show at the Cesis art festival arrived. It will be seen until the 15th of August. I will try to make blog posts about some of the works. \
These colorful square compositions are called "Trees and water" and these are analog color prints of the lake in the different weather conditions (summer rain, sunny day, thin ice in the morning frost, fog in the autumn, some bits of snow under the fir-trees). While making these prints I was experimenting with turning color filters randomly and letting the chance determine the final print.
I was also thinking that once at the Devil's lake each person sees it differently and everyone has their own interpretations of the origin of the place and its mystical or completely prosaic and transparent being.
