Finally I had a little time to breath after a four month long marathon of creating work for the two exhibitions that can be seen this Summer. This time it was all about analogue photography and DIY color darkroom solutions. I have spent quite a long time in the darkroom in Rucka artist residency in Cesis experimenting with RA-4 printing and the color subtlety of this process. I created there work for the exhibition "Little star" at Alma gallery and "Devil's lake" at Cesis art festival. In the "Little star" I focused on small detail within a minimalist space while in the "Devil's lake" tried to develop a large scale work for a huge space. Soon will publish exhibition views for both. But for now it is possible to read more about this period in an extensive interview made by Tomass Pārups for the arterritory website. The interview is avaliable in Latvian and Russian languages.
Portrait is made during the installation process of Cesis Art festival.
Sorry that I will miss those exhibitions!
